Conant fell to Rockford Auburn in Tuesday's Super Sectional at the Sears Centre, 57-43, despite Brandon Vinson putting 11 points on the scoreboard.
Despite a strong finish, with 14 points in the final quarter, Cougars failed to secure the win.
Vinson was the front runner for Conant's offense with 11 points, including eight during the second period. He also contributed two rebounds.
Ben Schols put up two three-pointers and scored 10 points total. Also contributing for Conant were Jimmy Sotos (9 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block), Ryan Davis (6 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal), and Mike Downing (5 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block).
Conant finished the game with 22 rebounds (10 offensive / 12 defensive), two blocks and four steals.
Conant ends the season with a record of 23-7.

Conant was victorious against Lake Zurich 59-48 in OT to win the Sectional Champuonship at Fremd on Friday. Conant advances to Tuesday's Super Sectional at the Sears Centre at 8:00 pm. They will play Rockford Auburn.
The Cougars pulled ahead early, claiming a 16-11 lead at the half.
Ryan Davis led Conant's offense with 18 points, including eight during the fourth period. He also contributed seven rebounds and one block.
Two other players also scored in the double digits for Conant. Jimmy Sotos contributed 16 points. Ben Schols put up two three-pointers and scored 13 points total. Also chipping in for Conant were Brandon Vinson (9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals) and Mike Downing (2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks). Sotos was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up three rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
Conant finished the game with 24 rebounds (5 offensive / 19 defensive), five blocks and nine steals.

The Cougars improved their record to 23-6.

Conant was victorious against Hoffman Estates 60-47 on Tuesday with the help of Jimmy Sotos, who scored 18 points. The Cougars advance to the Sectional Championship on Friday at Fremd versus the winner of Wednesday nights Fremd - Lake Zurich match up.
Cougars grabbed the lead against Hoffman Estates on a free throw from Ryan Davis in the second period and held on.
With a 25-21 lead at the half, Conant pulled ahead early in the game. With 25 points in the fourth quarter, Conant solidified their lead.
Sotos led the charge for Conant's offense, scoring 18 points, with seven points during the fourth period. He also contributed three rebounds and six steals.
Davis went into double digits, scoring 14 points for Conant (5-for-11). Also contributing for Conant were Ben Schols (9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block), Brandon Vinson (9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Mike Downing (8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks), and C.J. Deshazer (2 points).
Conant finished the game with 29 rebounds (10 offensive / 19 defensive), three blocks and eight steals. The Cougars are now 22-6 on the season.

Conant emerged victorious 47-27 against Elk Grove on Friday to win the Conant Regional Championship. Conant was led by the strength of Jimmy Sotos, who scored 20 points. The Cougars improved their record to 21-6 and will play Hoffman Estates, the Schaumburg Regional Champion, on Tuesday at 7:00 at the Fremd Sectional Semi-Final.
After an impressive 20-4 run, Cougars ended the first half in the lead with a score of 28-11.
Sotos found success all over the court for Conant, making 56% (5-for-9) of shots attempted while also sinking 90% (9-for-10) of free throws attempted.

Conant finished the game with 33 rebounds (13 offensive / 20 defensive), seven blocks and five steals.

Conant emerged victorious 60-37 against Rolling Meadows on Tuesday in the Conant Regional Semi Final on the strength of Jimmy Sotos, who scored 23 points. The Cougars will Friday night in the Regional Championship versus the winner of Palatine and Elk Grove who will play Wednesday night.
Following a 21-5 run, Cougars commanded a 31-20 lead at the end of the first half.
Sotos had a great game from the field, making 80% (8-for-10) of shots attempted as well as 100% (4-for-4) of threes attempted. He also shot well from the line, making 43% (3-for-7) of free throws attempted.

The Conant Cougars made a short trip to Hoffman Estates High School and came back with the MSL West Division Title. Conant emerged victorious 35-31 against Hoffman Estates on Friday on the strength of Jimmy Sotos, who scored 18 points. The Cougars locked in the win in the fourth quarter on a two-pointer from Sotos. Conant will host MSL East Division Champion Prospect on Wednesday night for the Mid Suburban League Conference Championship.
