Deerfield defeats Conant

• Jimmy Sotos scored 15 points, but this was not enough as Conant fell to Deerfield 75-57. 
• Though Cougars finished strong, adding 18 points in the final quarter, it wasn't enough to turn things around. 
• Sotos led the charge for Conant's offense, scoring 15 points, with four points during the third period. He also contributed two rebounds and one steal.
• Brandon Vinson notched three three-pointers and scored 14 points total. Two other players also racked up double digit scores for Conant.  Ryan Davis put up 11 points. Also chipping in for Conant were Mike Downing (6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks), Tony Ziccardi (5 points, 2 rebounds), Danny Ranallo (2 points, 4 rebounds), and Palmer Graham (2 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals). 
• Conant finished the game with 28 rebounds (9 offensive / 19 defensive), two blocks and seven steals.

Conant defeats Palatine 55-52

• Jimmy Sotos scored 14 points to lead Conant to a 55-52 victory over Palatine on Friday.  Cougars clinched their lead in the fourth quarter on a free throw from Sotos. Conant improved their record to 13-4 and 7-0 in the MSL West.
• Following an 11-4 run, Conant commanded a 29-28 lead at the end of the first half. 
• Sotos paved the way for Conant, making 36% (5-for-14) of shots attempted while also sinking 100% (3-for-3) of free throws attempted.
• Two other players also added ten or more points for Conant.  Mike Downing put up 13 points and Ryan Davis scored 12 points. Also helping the effort for Conant were Brandon Vinson (8 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal), Danny Ranallo (4 points, 1 rebound), and Ben Schols (2 points).  Davis was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up nine rebounds, one steal and one block.
• Conant finished the game with 18 rebounds (7 offensive / 11 defensive), five blocks and six steals.

Cougars beat Broncos 68-41

Conant emerged victorious 68-41 against Barrington on Saturday on the strength of Jimmy Sotos, who scored 24 points.  Cougars grabbed the lead against Barrington on a three-pointer from Sotos in the second period and held on.  Conant improved to 12-4 and 6-0 in the MSL West.

• An impressive 23-point second quarter on the strength of a 22-5 run allowed Conant to pull ahead and eventually claim a 39-27 lead by halftime. 
• Sotos found success all over the court for Conant, making 82% (9-for-11) of shots attempted while also sinking 80% (4-for-5) of free throws attempted.
• Ben Schols put up two three-pointers and scored nine points total.  Mike Downing hit double digits, scoring 20 points for Conant (8-for-10). Also contributing for Coannt were Brandon Vinson (7 points, 2 rebounds), Ryan Davis (5 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block), and C.J. Deshazer (2 points, 1 rebound). 
• Conant finished the game with 22 rebounds (5 offensive / 17 defensive), five blocks and four steals.

Cougars defeat Hawks in the battle for Hoffman Estates

• Jimmy Sotos scored 17 points to lead Conant to a 54-38 victory over Hoffman Estates on Saturday.  The Cougars improve their record to 11-4 and 5-0 in the MSL West.
• At the end of a successful first half, Cougars led 27-12 on the strength of a 20-4 run. 
• Sotos paved the way for Conant, making 75% (6-for-8) of shots attempted while also sinking 100% (3-for-3) of free throws attempted.
• Ben Schols put up two three-pointers and scored seven points total. Two other players also scored in the double digits for Conant.  Mike Downing scored 12 points and Ryan Davis racked up 11 points. Also helping the effort for Conant were Danny Ranallo (5 points) and Palmer Graham2 points).  Davis was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up 15 rebounds and two blocks.
• Conant finished the game with 35 rebounds (7 offensive / 28 defensive), five blocks and two steals.

Cougars defeat Pirates

• Jimmy Sotos's 19 points propelled Conant to a 58-52 victory over Palatine on Friday.  The Cougars improved their record to 10-4 and 4-0 in the MSL West.
• Cougars connected from the field early, claiming a 26-19 lead at the half.  Conant solidified their lead in the final quarter, scoring 17 points. 
• Sotos was the front runner for Conant's offense with 19 points, including six during the third period. He also contributed four rebounds.
• Ben Schols went into double digits, scoring 11 points for Conant (3-for-4). Also chipping in for Conant were Ryan Davis (7 points, 10 rebounds, 1 block), Chima Oduocha (7 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal), Mike Downing  (7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks), Brandon Vinson (4 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal), and Danny Ranall (3 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals).
